There are many beautiful places to visit in the area, here are a few of them:
Khao Phanom Bencha National Park/Huay To Waterfall
Only 10 km from our farm is the beautiful national park around the highest mountain of the province, Khao Phanom Bencha (1,397 m). It has several waterfalls, with the biggest one being the Huay To Waterfall with 70 m on five cascades, each one more beautiful the higher you climb. The national park is a significant bird-spotting area, since it is the habitat of over 200 bird species.
Ngorn Nak Mountain Climbing Trail
Behind Ao Nang (a place that should be avoided if possible, it is swarming with party tourists), lays Ban Thap Kaek, with another national park. This national park is around Ngorn Nak Mountain, which has a 3.7 km hiking trail to its top. The view is probably one of the best you can get in Krabi Province!
Klong Muang Beach
For people who like the sea, Klong Muang is one of the best choices. A quiet, long beach with shallow water and a small fisherman’s village close to it. The sunset is great, and if you like seafood you can catch crabs or dig for clams.
Tiger Cave Temple
A big, commercial temple, but with a great viewpoint on top of a small mountain. Over 1,200 steps lead up to a great view of the surrounding area, and there’s monkeys!
(The local record for climbing all stairs to the top is 12 minutes)
A small, 8 km-long island on the other side of the Krabi River, which still looks very traditional. The roads are small, so there are no cars on the island. It is populated by a friendly Muslim community and always worth a trip.
